Planning and Full Council meetings
24 March 2020 – Cancelled
Play equipment – Closed with immediate effect
Funerals – these will take place and the Council will be working with funeral directors to work within strict guidelines
Cemetery – remains open for quiet contemplation and tending graves. The cemetery gates will be closed temporarily for one of two reasons. If there is a funeral, anyone visiting the cemetery who is not a mourner, will be requested to leave the cemetery. Once the cemetery is clear and the funeral cortège and mourners arrive the cemetery gates will be closed. The cemetery will re-open once the funeral has taken place. A notice will be put on the gates to let people know that a funeral is taking place and a member of Bingham Town Council’s ground staff will be in attendance at the gate.
The other reason for the cemetery gates being closed is for essential services to be carried out. A notice will be placed on the gates advising that the cemetery is closed. Once the work is completed the cemetery will re-open.
